Together we can make Britain greener

Team Green Britain will be launching the first Green Britain Day on Friday 10th July 2009, with the aim of encouraging the nation to take a step towards living a greener lifestyle. The idea is to raise awareness of ecological issues and to highlight actions that people can take to be more environmentally friendly. Team Green Britain are looking to lower the UK's carbon footprint by the London 2012 Olympics, and to show Great Britain to be leading the world in the race against climate change. The hope is that if everyone begins to make changes, no matter how small they may be, together we can make a difference.

Here at ABa we are fully supporting the Team Green Britain initiative by making ABa a greener and more energy efficient company. We are getting involved in Green Britain Day in a variety of ways; by leaving our cars at home and using public transport to get to work, by reducing the amount of waste created through printing and everyday office activities, and by remembering to switch off lights, computers and monitors to save energy.

Not only will these actions reduce the amount of energy that we use, but they will also encourage us to become more energy efficient on a daily basis. We will become part of a movement to live more sustainable lives, making the UK greener and more environmentally aware.
