WARNING: Mystery Shopping Scam
27th August 2009
We have recently been made aware of a scam against mystery shoppers. The scam involves emails being sent from someone fraudulently pretending to be an ABa employee, using images and text taken from our website. These emails are asking people to carry out an assessment that involves the transfer of their own funds through Western Union. THIS IS NOT A REAL ASSIGNMENT.
You would never be asked to carry out an assessment from ABa in this manner. We have notified the police about this rogue email and if you have been persuaded to carry out one of these assessments, then you should do the same.
ABa would NEVER:
Contact an individual that is not already part of our approved team, to perform an assignment.
To become part of ABa`s approved team of Mystery Customers/Auditors there is an involved mystery shopper application process.
Make a payment by Western union.
Send you to any assessment without first developing a relationship between yourselves and ABa.
We urge you to check the validity of every request before undertaking any work from any company offering Mystery Customer services.
If you are unsure if an email you have received is genuine, please do not hesitate to call us on +44 (0) 161 431 1234.
Kind regards
ABa Quality Monitoring Ltd
