Post Office find cultural hotspots at the right price
8th April 2010

Post Office has published their annual City Costs Barometer - listing the best cities across Europe to find cultural hotspots at the right price.
Post Office, who was voted as the Best Foreign Exchange provider at the 2009 British Travel Awards, has sought information from National Tourist Offices of participating countries to discover where the best bargains are across Europe in terms of culture, accommodation and dining.
The City Costs Barometer shows that Prague & Lisbon are the two cities where UK tourists will get most for their money this spring. The report analysed the costs of 15 city break destinations, taking into account hotel, heritage sites & cuisine amongst other factors. So whether you're saying "Dobré ráno" while crossing Charles Bridge or "Bom dia" at the Belé m Tower at least you'll know you're getting the most of your budget.
Sarah Munro, Head of Travel Money at Post Office, commented that UK holidaymakers thinking of taking a city break would be wise to do their homework. Their research has shown that with some planning those looking for culture across the continent can get a lot more for their money in some cities than in others. Munro also commented that "Although sterling remains weak, it is stronger against the euro than a year ago so UK tourists picking a eurozone city where prices have fallen could actually be quids in".
ABa continues to work in partnership with the Post Office, developing their customer experience programmes (both mystery shopping & brand audits).
