Sainsbury's become sponsor of 2012 Paralympic Games

Sainsbury's have announced that they are to become sponsors of the London 2012 Paralympic Games. Adding to their existing sports related projects (athletics in schools & Active Kids programmes), Sainsbury's will be in a prime position to help drive the power and strength of the Games. The support given will be extensive, with the supermarket chain pledging to use its 850 stores to promote the Games.
The chairman of the London organising committee for both games, Lord Coe, said that, "through the Paralympic Games we wanted to change public attitudes towards disability, celebrate the excellence of Paralympic sport and to enshrine from the very outset that the two Games are an integrated whole".
