ABa tackle the Great Manchester Run

Team ABa has taken to the streets of Manchester for a 2nd year, taking part in the Bupa Great Manchester Run 2010 Business Challenge.

Following the great success of the 2009 race, members of our account teams & our in-house IT team signed up for the 10km run around Manchester, taking in the sights of Bridgewater Hall, Old Trafford, the Imperial War Museum and finishing at the foot of Beetham Tower. How much training went into the physical preparation from the event is still being kept under wraps, but those that took part were really pleased with their run times.

From the faint whispers afterwards, one of the team said, "While I don't think I can actually feel my legs any more, I'm really pleased I did it. It was my first go at the run, so have now set my target for next year!"

Kidney Research UK and the British Red Cross were the chosen charities for sponsorship this year. Total amounts have still to be collected, but we're all very impressed with those that completed the run.

Once people's legs and feet are recovered, it'll be time to start training for the 2011 run!
